Scheduling Specialist (OHS)

 

Summary

 

Working with the Scheduling Team, the Off-Hour Support (OHS) Scheduling Specialist will coordinate all time sensitive aspects of the scheduling department.  This is an on-call position providing coverage when the office is closed during evenings, weekends and recognized holidays.  The position shall interface with customers, freelance and staff interpreters, Deaf consumers and HIS Sign staff.

 

OHS Schedule rotates with other OHS Specialists supporting the Scheduling Department with the following schedule:

 

  • The weekly OHS shift begins Friday at 5:00PM and ends the following Friday at 8:00AM
  • Friday at 5:00pm – Monday at 8:00am (63 hours)
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00pm – 8:00am daily (60 hours)
  • OHS rotation is typically once every three weeks (one week “on” and two weeks “off) and is subject to change with notice based on staffing and business requirements.
  • OHS cover the following recognized holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

 

 

 

 

Essential Job Functions

 

Monitor HIS Sign phone calls, emails and texts received during non-business hours

Proactively check the scheduling calendar and work to fill open job assignments

Answer and handle all time sensitive inquiries from existing customers, prospective customers and interpreters

Document all updates in our online scheduling tool eRSP

Create New customer accounts

Process last minute and time sensitive assignment requests and changes

Communicate scheduling updates with HIS Sign team, customers and interpreters

Build a professional rapport with HIS Sign customers, interpreters and Deaf consumers

Develop and understanding and ability to enforce HIS Sign Procedures and Policies

 

Requirements

 

Excellent phone etiquette

Proficient in using a computer and the use of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel

Highly organized, detailed oriented and ability to coordinate and perform several task simultaneously

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Be able to work independently in a fast pace environment

Must be a team player and work well with others

Reliability is paramount for this position
