Scheduling Specialist - Part-time



Exciting opportunity to coordinate services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community!  A leading sign language interpreting service provider, HIS Sign is looking for a Scheduling Specialist to join our team.  Working with the scheduling department, the Scheduling Specialist will assist in coordinating all aspects of daily operations.  This includes but is not limited to answering customer inquiries, broadcasting available jobs, and working to confirm qualified interpreters with efficiency.  The position shall daily interface with customers, freelance and staff interpreters, Deaf consumers and HIS Sign staff.



This is telecommuting position.  This part-time schedule is ideal for candidates with academic, professional, or family commitments.  The desired shift is daily coverage (M – F) from 8A – 12P.  Job sharing is optional.  After hours coverage opportunities available!


Skills & Qualifications

Looking for a reliable, responsible, and organized individual to support our scheduling department.  We need someone who can prioritize competing tasks with excellent time management and interpersonal skills.  Superior customer service skills, attention to detail and discretion is a must!  We value team players who are eager to learn and take the initiative.  Paid training will be provided and is available onsite as well as remotely.


Excellent phone etiquette

Proficient in using a computer and the use of Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel

Highly organized and detailed oriented performing with a high level of accuracy

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment prioritizing competing deadlines

Must be a team player and work well with others

Reliability is paramount for this position


Compensation & Benefits

This is an hourly equal employment opportunity.  Differential compensation paid for non-business hours coverage in addition to hourly wages for additional tasks.  We offer competitive wages commensurate with experience and paid training.  Cell phone reimbursement and a company laptop to work remotely is provided.  Candidate must have reliable Internet and cell phone service for telecommuting.
