HIS Sign is remote based with 100% of our team working from home. Join our growing team of business professionals. We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, professional to coordinate all aspects of the daily operations for the scheduling department. Make a difference by supporting equal communication access for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community. Don’t worry, knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is not required.  

What you will do

HIS Sign is a sign language interpreting agency that provides CART and interpreting services in the DMV (DC, MD, and VA) area and across the country. Under the leadership of the scheduling manager, you will have the pivotal role of coordinating all aspects of daily operations in the scheduling department. As the central point of contact, you will manage all phone, text, and email communications.

This is not just an admin role! You will provide concierge level customer service to all customers and service providers, from the inception of the request until it’s completion. As the primary point of contact, you will take the initiative to process and fill open service requests with qualified providers using our online scheduling tool. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all pertinent information and materials are provided and available to the service provider.

What you will need

This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as experience in customer service. Our department can get really busy, so the ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy with a keen attention to detail is imperative.

As a remote based company, qualified candidates must be technically savvy. You must be skilled in using specialized software related to departmental operations such as Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based file sharing software systems, and internet search engines.

Perfection is not required, but accountability is. We need a team player that is adaptable, responsible, and dependable. Since this is a work from home opportunity, we expect that you will have reliable high-speed internet access and a dedicated workspace with minimal distractions to remain available and productive during your working hours. While this is a remote position, the candidate must work following Eastern Standard Time during our core business hours of 8A – 5P with a one-hour lunch included.

HIS Sign is committed to customer service, so we are available to our customers 24/7. The scheduling team rotates providing paid ‘on-call’ coverage after business hours.

What We Will Do

This is a permanent work from home opportunity. While you provide the internet access, HIS Sign provides a company issued laptop, peripherals, as well as a company paid cell phone. We also reimburse for mileage and approved business expenses.

We don’t expect anyone to come in and know how to do everything! We provide personalized paid training. To support morale and enhance team bonding, we hold periodic in-person team meetings. We offer competitive wages commensurate with experience. Employees receive three weeks paid vacation, in addition to 11 paid company holidays. HIS Sign offers a Simple IRA plan for eligible employees to participate in.

Starting Salary: $40,000+
